Marie Gray

Marie Mixon Gray, 84, of Memphis, passed away January 4, 2011. She was a retired cafeteria manager with Memphis City Schools and a charter member of Broadmoor Baptist Church. Mrs. Gray was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Gray, Sr. and a daughter, Kay Vaughn. She is survived by a daughter, Pat Pannell (Jack) and a son, Frank Gray, Jr., (Susan), both of Memphis; her brothers and sisters, Hosie Mixon, Willie Mae Bonner, Everett Mixon, Marian Penrod and Kenneth Mixon; 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends beginning at 12 p.m. Thursday, January 6, with the service to follow at 2 p.m., all at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, Poplar Avenue. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family requests that memorials be sent to the Alzheimer's Association .
