Lois L Emerick, retired teacher for Mrs. Trenor’s Day School, passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at the age of 98. She was a member of Idlewild Presbyterian Church since 1945. Lois was also a charter member of Daughters of the Nile and Eastern Star of the Summer Avenue Lodge. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Phillip McDonuogh Emerick. Lois leaves her sons Charles J Emerick (Ruth) and Terry Emerick (Glenda), five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. There will be a gathering of family and friends on Saturday, July 25, from twelve thirty in the afternoon until two o clock, at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Ave., Memphis, TN 38119, followed by a graveside service at two-thirty at Memphis Memory Gardens. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be sent to Idlewild Presbyterian Church or charity of choice.
