Leesa Roberson Davis

Leesa Roberson Davis, 65, went into the arms of Jesus on August 31st after being diagnosed with a fast-growing brain tumor. Born September 6, 1956, she called Memphis home for most of her life. She was a graduate of Ridgeway High School and the University of Tennessee. During her time at UT, she enjoyed being a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority. She met the love of her life, Mike Davis during high school in 1971 and committed her life to loving Jesus and caring for her husband and family. Leesa modeled what it meant to be a Godly wife, mother and friend.

She truly had a beautiful servant’s heart - always seeking opportunities to love and serve people, all the while pointing them to Jesus. Leesa was a faithful long-term member of Grace Evangelical Church. At Grace, she served as a greeter, a mentor to younger women, and was a member of a women’s prayer group. Leesa also spent over 20 years teaching children to swim. Hundreds of children thrived under her instruction at “Leesa’s Aquatic School”. Many people felt loved and cared for by Leesa, especially her four precious granddaughters who loved her dearly.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 43 years, Mike Davis; her son Tucker Davis and wife Sarah Lawrence (Memphis); her son Reed Davis and wife Gretchen (Atlanta); her granddaughters Zellee; Ansley; Sadie; Maisie; her father Wes Roberson; and her brother Bart Roberson (Dallas).

She is preceded in death by her mother, Sandra Roberson and her sister-in-law, Beth Roberson. We know the reunion in Heaven has been a beautiful one.

A funeral service will be held at Grace Evangelical Church on Tuesday, September 6th, at 1:00 pm with visitation starting at 11:30am. Graveside family service will be held prior at Memphis Memory Gardens 6444 Raleigh La Grange Road, Memphis, TN.
