Lee Finnell

Lee Finnell died peacefully at Baptist Memorial Hospital on August 13, 2015. An avid bridge player, Lee was vivacious, fun loving and full of joy and jokes. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years, Michael Finnell and by her parents, Llewellyn L. Durham and Bernice Petty Durham. She leaves behind three sons and daughters-in-law, Kelly Finnell (Beverly), Timothy Finnell (Julia) and Patrick Finnell (Valerie) and the loves of her life, four granddaughters, Kimberly Moore (Michael), Colleen Ellis (Jason), Alex Finnell and Kelsey Finnell; and four great grandchildren, Garrett and Harrison Moore, and Avery and Hadley Ellis. She also leaves behind one sister, Mable Lou Foster of Hernando, MS. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday morning beginning at ten o’clock with the funeral service to follow at 11 o’clock in the Memphis Funeral Home Chapel, 5599 Poplar Ave. Following services, all guests are invited to attend a memorial reception in the Life Remembrance Center of Memphis Funeral Home. Lee was a lover of beauty and color, so flowers are most welcome at her service.
