Kristin is predeceased by her father, Richard Cheseldine and grandparents, Ernest and Peggy Kenny. Kristin is survived by her devoted husband, Israel E. Cordero de Jesus. They married June 10, 2000 in Memphis, TN at Immaculate Conception Cathedral. Kristin is also survived by her mother and stepfather, Sara Lynn and Michael Thomas Wilkinson and siblings, Laura Lynn Reisinger and Richard James Cheseldine. She held very dear her 23 nieces and nephews, ages 5 to 19.
Kristin is a graduate of Memphis Catholic High School and University of Memphis School of Nursing. She was a Nurse at the Regional Medical Center Burn Unit and St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Her generous and giving nature made nursing the only choice for her and she chose to work in fields that required selfless care. Even after she could no longer nurse she gave of her time and volunteered at the Memphis Food Bank as long as she was able. Kristin loved being an Aunt and her nieces and nephews could always brighten her day and make her smile.
Kristin has touched so many people in her life with her amazing smile, quick wit, sassy stubborn side and a determination in life. She showed courage and grace as she persevered through her disabilities to remain engaged in the joys of her life, family and many devoted friends. She continued to bring joy to those around her with her spirit and drive.
The family would also like to thank her devoted caregiver, Mary Ford, who added love and light to her life.
Kristin's Mass Service will be held on December 1, 2018, 2:00 at St. Louis Catholic Church, 203 White Station Road, Memphis, TN.
