June Marie Payne

June M. Payne, 81, died on the 30th of April, 2016 in Houston, Texas. June was preceded in death by her parents, R.W. and Elizabeth Payne, sisters Elizabeth (Betty) Carr and Margaret (Peggy) Drewry, brother R.W. “Billy” Payne and her niece June Marie Drewry. June is survived by her brother John W. Payne as well as the following nieces and nephews who were the light of her life: Louise D. Stout, George W. Drewry, Jr. (Arleen), Elizabeth D. Wagner, John W. Drewry (Pam) and Nanci Payne Maddox (Mike). Ms. Payne graduated from St. Agnes Academy and retired after 40 years as Vice President – Insurance for Great Western Consumer Finance Group. Ms. Payne was a member of Madonna Circle, Circle Arts & Ladies of Charity. She was involved in various volunteering in the medical staff office at St. Francis Hospital. She was a communicant at Church of the Holy Spirit. Previously she attended Holy Rosary Church for almost 50 years. Family and friends will gather from five o’clock until eight o’clock in the evening on Thursday, the 12th of May at Memphis Funeral Home located at Fifty-Five Ninety-Nine Poplar Avenue, Memphis, Tennessee 38119. Funeral mass will begin at half past ten on Friday the 13th of May at the Catholic Church of the Holy Spirit. A catered luncheon for family and friends will be after mass beginning at half past twelve until half past two in the Life Remembrance Center of Memphis Funeral Home.
