June Hellen Busby Carter, 80, of Memphis, died May 31, 2012. She married Charles D. Carter on June 29, 1957, in Hernando, MS. June was a long time member of the Heartland Baptist Church. Her husband, who was a retired member of the Memphis Fire Department, preceded her in death in 1995. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Robbie Mae and James E. Busby, Sr., her twin brother, Jewell Busby, and half-brother, Randell C. Smith. She leaves her younger brother, James E. Busby, Jr. and wife, Ann of Mountain View, Missouri and 10 nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Monday, June 4, from 12 noon until the service at 2 p.m., all at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, Poplar Ave..
