Joyce Lee Garner

Joyce Lee Eilert Garner, 83, a lifelong Memphian died on November 30, 2014. A loving wife, mother & grandmother, Joyce was a graduate of Tech High School, worked in the family frame shop, Garner Picture Framing, for over 40 years, and at one time was an aerobics instructor. She had a generous soul who would and often times did give people the coat off her back. She was caring, loving, and a little feisty at times but always a lady. Her family will receive guests for sharing stories and memories on Thursday, December 4 beginning at five o’clock and ending at seven o’clock that evening at Memphis Funeral Home located at 5599 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN 38119. Mrs. Garner was preceded in death by her parents Sterling L. & Jocelyn Eilert; and brother Sterling Eilert. She is survived by her husband George H. Garner; daughters Gaye (John) Keller, Jan (Dr. Paul) Tisdal; sons Madison “Matt” (Johanna) Garner and Chris (Glenda) Garner; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
