Joseph Anthony Scola, age 91, of Bartlett, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2022. Joseph was born May 10, 1931, in Memphis, Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jasper and Frances Scola; brother, Father Scola; sisters, Rose Marie, Frances Scola, and Menna Scola; and son-in-law, Alan Adelman.
He was a Route Salesman for D. Canale Brewery and Pepsi Cola Bottlers. His last job before retiring was a clerk at Schnucks on Perkins. He was married to Ann Scola for 50 years until her passing in 2007.
He leaves two daughters, Margaret Ann Adelman and Mary Frances Robinson and a son-in-law, Daniel Robinson. Mr. Scola also leaves one grachild, Katie Robinson who he idolized. He loved cooking Italian foods like spaghetti and meatballs, watching nature show on television and Notre Dame football, and spending time with his family.
A visitation for Joseph will be held Tuesday, December 20, 2022 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Ave, Memphis, TN 38119. A rosary service will occur at 7:00 PM, at the funeral home. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at 10:00 AM, at Catholic Church of the Nativity, 5955 St. Elmo Road, Bartlett, TN 38134. Graveside committal service will immediately follow, at Calvary Cemetery, 1663 Elvis Presley Blvd., Memphis, TN 38104.
