He was preceded in death by his parents , Robert H. Hill and Laverne Brasfield Hill.
Joe is survived by his devoted wife of 37 years, Judy Fetters Hill,brother, Bobby (Sweetie) Hill and sister, Susan (David) Lentz, nephews, John (Tracy) Hill, Robb Lentz, niece, Karen (Wes) Barrett, 7 great nephews and 4 great nieces.
Judy and Joe attended the Woodland Hills Church of Christ in Cordova, Tn.
The Fetters family loves him dearly, brother in law, J.R. (Sue) Fetters, nephew - Daniel (Christy)Blackshear, nieces, Laura (Billy) Weaver and Angie (John) McLaughlin, 2 Great nieces and 2 great nephews, A host of adopted grand children over the years but 3 special, Ashley (Matt) Carter, Chandler Tillery Foster and Paige Foster.
Joe (Dicky) graduated from Mississippi State University with a degree in mechanical engineering. His current status was retirement for the last 22 years.
He had four favorite hobbies.
- He got up every morning early enough to watch the sun come up.
- He ate breakfast every morning except Sunday at Circle K in Piperton, TN or Perkins in Collierville or West Street Diner in Germantown where he had a certain table to eat at each place.
- He loved building with the kids and it continued after we moved to a new location with John East, where John hammered nails into a certain board.
He loved making Christmas ornaments out of wood trim. He was up to giving out about 50 per year…
-Taking a nap in the afternoon with black and white movies.
Joe "Dicky" was loved by children..

The visitation for Joseph will be held Sunday, September 19 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at Woodland Hills Church of Christ, 10011 Woodland Hills Dr., Cordova, TN 38018. The funeral service will occur Sunday, September 19 at 2:00 PM 10011 Woodland Hills Dr., Cordova, TN 38108. A graveside service will follow the service in Caraway Memorial Cemetery, Cemetery Rd, Caraway, AR 72419 at 4:30 PM.
Active Pallbearers will be Noah Brock, John Wesley Barrett, Luke Barrett, Adam Barrett, Jacob Hill, Christian Hill.
