John B. Snipes, 86, retired Memphis Firefighter, died June 19, 2012 at St. Francis Hospital on Park Avenue. Mr. Snipes was a member of the Memphis Firefighters Union, an avid hunter, fisherman and NASCAR fan. The family will receive guests on Saturday, June 23 from 9AM – 10AM and funeral services will follow at 10AM all at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens at 5599 Poplar Avenue. Mr. Snipes is survived by his daughter Marsha Chandler (Donnie) of Hernando, Mississippi; sons Charles Snipes (Linda) of Memphis, of David Snipes (Barbara) of Cordova, Tennessee, and Dan Snipes of Hernando; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
