We send condolences and sympathy to Jim and Paul and their families on the loss of John.  May God's love comfort and keep you always.
We treasure the many fond memories of our times together with John and Anne and the fun we shared in our years in the Jaycees.

As President of Roseleigh Neighborhood Association, l want to share a few thoughts about John.  I have been living in the neighborhood since 1990 and came to meet he and Anne at various neighborhood gatherings.  A very sweet and caring couple.  Then quite a few years later I became  President of the Board and majority of the Administrative Meetings would be held within my home.  The night before l would call his home and of course when Anne would answer, she would often say ok Jean, l will tell him.  We would hang up and then the next evening John would be the first one to arrive here. As we waited on the others to arrive, we engage in conversation.  I learned that he would consider himself an original Roseleigh neighbor, built some  of the homes and  how he and Anne had prayer together every night.  I will miss him especially his thoughts about Roseleigh. I know even though he will be unseen and unheard, memories will forever be present.  He is with his Anne. Condolences to Paul,  Jim, Shirley & family. Kay’s memories:  began in  early childhood days in Vaiden, MS during the 1950s. Cheerful special cousin Quinnon and his darling, engaging red headed new wife are a part of those fond memories. Each year on a hot humid August, second Saturdays when folks gathered for Old Plank cemetery working with dinner on the ground (not) were first memories of Quinnon & Anne (who drove down from Memphis). They adding much enthusiasm in conversation for the day.  Through the years there have been a plethora of similar family reunions with Quinnon & Anne contributing their warm presence. Their example truly envelopes  a strong caring family team perspective. They will be missed by those here while knowing that they are now united with many gone before loved ones.  God speed, John Quinnon.

John and I became friends when I began my coaching career at Harding Academy in 1978.  His son Jim was my student trainer.  John spent a lot of time with our football teams in'78 and '79.  He was a tremendous encouragement to me.  Although I have not seen him in many years, I always cherish true friendships.  His son Jim was more than a student trainer.  He ran our training room and did a great job.  I am not surprised  that he is one of the top physical therapists in the Memphis area.  My wife and I extend our deepest sympathy to the family.

My first memory of John Q was being in his and Aunt Anne's wedding. The second was staying a few days with them at Mississippi State and getting my first ever banana split. Then I stayed with them several summers in Memphis and worked. I will always be thankful for their opening their home to me and for their assistance and encouragement. My prayers and love will be with all the family during this difficult time.  Patricia and Terry Hopper
