John Paul Brooks, 57, of Memphis, passed away February 17, 2014. The family will gather for remembrances with friends from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 22, at Family Funeral Care on Summer Avenue. Mr. Brooks worked for American Stairway for many years, along with his wife and son. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Shirley Brooks. Paul is survived by his wife, Thresea Brooks; three sons, John Paul Brooks, II, Thomas Christopher Brooks, and Joseph Earl Brooks; and his brother, Nelson Christopher Brooks.
