She was preceded in death by her husband, James Emerson Wilson, son, Joseph Allen Wilson, and her parents, Gerald & Robbie Wiley. She is survived by her sons, Jimmy Wilson, Jerry Wilson (Christy), Johnny Wilson (Melinda); grandchildren, Jordan, Kristen, Joshua, Kaylea, Kyle, Tristan; great-grandchildren, Joshua Jr., Emma, and Harper.
Jeanne was born on February 5, 1947, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and raised in Memphis, Tennessee with her siblings, Jerry, Barbara, Nancy, and Jeff. She graduated from Trezevant High School in 1965. She and James married on February 25, 1966, in Memphis, Tennessee, where they lived and raised their four sons. After her husband passed away in 1987, she continued to raise her sons and worked in the accounting field. She never turned down requests to prepare and file tax returns for family and friends.
She often spoke of her grandchildren, the light of her life and never missed an opportunity to share how proud she was of them. You weren't finished having a conversation with Jeanne until she told whichever favorite story she wanted you to hear that day. She will be lovingly remembered as the best grandma ever.
Please join us to celebrate her life on Saturday, October 16th at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Ave, Memphis, TN 38122. Visitation from 1- 2 pm. Service begins at 2 pm with graveside service to follow at Memphis Memory Gardens. Additional gathering of family and friends at the home of Johnny & Melinda from 4 pm-6 pm.
