Janice Lynn Mize White left her earthly tent (2 Corinthians 5:1) on November 10, 2023, at the age of 76 after a heart-breaking period of physical and mental decline. She is at home (2 Corinthians 5:8) with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She is fully known (1 Corinthians 13:12) by her husband of 52 years, Hulon White and her parents John Elmer Mize and Lestine Reed Mize Webster.
Janice’s gifts of hospitality and encouragement were evident in all areas of her life. She taught women’s Bible studies, Training Union classes, outreach groups, Royal Ambassadors, Sunday School. She served by singing in the adult choir, leading Vacation Bible School classes, working on local and international mission trips. She was a licensed cosmetologist for many years. Janice and her husband, Hulon, owned Mid-South Plumbing Company where she worked for 30 years before she retired.
In her spare time, Janice enjoyed cross stitching, knitting, and crocheting. Her hobbies also included hot air ballooning and cheering on her children/grandchildren in any activity which they were involved.
Janice’s Godly example of service and lasting legacy will live on through her children and grandchildren.

Unfortunately, there are too many beloved uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends to list. If you knew Janice, she counted you as part of her family. She was a mother, grandmother, aunt, mentor, confident, and friend. Janice will be missed by all of us, but we do not grieve like those without hope. (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18)

The visitation for Janice will be held Monday, November 20, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM with her funeral service following, 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM all taking place at Germantown Baptist Church, 9450 Poplar Ave, Germantown, TN 38139. Graveside services for Janice will occur Monday, November 20, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Memphis Memory Gardens, 6444 Raleigh Lagrange Rd, Memphis, TN 38134.
