James Buel Sain

James Buel Sain, 88, of Memphis, Tennessee died on November 23, 2014. An Army Veteran of WWII, Mr. Sain retired from the United States Post Office after forty years of service. He was a longtime member of the Woodland Hills Church of Christ and on the board of directors for the Midsouth Christian Nursing Home. His family will receive guests for the sharing of memories and refreshments on Monday, November 24 from 5-7 p.m. and funeral services will be on Tuesday, November 25 beginning at 2 p.m. all at Memphis Funeral Home located at 5599 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN 38119. The funeral service will conclude with military honors before procession to Memphis Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Sain was preceded in death by his parents and sisters Ruby and Dorothy and brothers Gene and J.W. Sain. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Ruth Sain; daughter Kay Pierce (Richard) of Cordova, TN; sons Mike Sain (Evelyn) of Knoxville, TN and Tim Sain (Renea) of Piperton, TN; sisters Pat King and Valeria Sprout; brothers Earl Sain and Richard Sain; grandchildren Justin, Josh, Ashley, Keith and Kelsey; and great-granddaughter Heidi Sain.
