Uncle Dan, we are so sorry to hear about your brother, James “Melvin”.  We know your family is close but the two of you were very close and therefore we say a special prayer to God to strengthen you all.   We have so many wonderful memories of you all at Summerfield Church and on Joy Lane during our younger days. I  remember about Uncle Melvin that he loved singing at church. Every time he got a chance he would sing.  He loved to smile  and tell you it's  going to be alright.  I will miss you Uncle Melvin. Love you from Tracy!

My uncle Jay was a very confident and knowledgeable man. I recall him teaching me the basics of chess when I was a teenager. I only recently started playing the game more often and was fortunate enough to spend some time with Jay at the local chess club. I didn't know that it would be the last time I saw him in person. May he rest in peace. 

Jay, was a passionate and inspiring man, who loved ALL. He was a brave soldier. He will be missed. May James Melvin Robinson in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord rest in peace ❤️🙏❤️

I wanted to send my condolences and deepest sympathy to my aunt Carletha and my cousin LeDarrius on the passing of Uncle Melvin (Jay). He was very much loved and will be greatly missed. Jay would pray for me and always shared kind and positive words of encouragement to me when needed.  I will miss most his smile and his kind heart. I'm sorry that you had to leave so soon. James Melvin Robinson was an awesome man of God.  He will be truly missed by Calvin and myself and his GreaterLife Church family We have shared many trips from Memphis to New York serving in revival under the leadership of Rev MY Harris.  

We know that we will see him again in that great heavenly choir.

I wanted to say that Jay will be greatly missed. I will always remember many times visiting the family eating, dancing and having a lot of good times. Also I remember when  Reggie and I took our first cruise to Mexico with Chelle and Jay and how he showed great kindness to our family since the first time me met him. We will see him again and he will always be dear to all of us.
