Herman Allen Johnson, of Bartlett, passed away on February 11, 2023. Herman was born on April 9, 1952, in Memphis to Naomi and Herman Johnson. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Susan Johnson, his daughter, Rebecca Johnson and son, Matthew Johnson (Chelsea). He also leaves behind one grandson, Will, who brought him much joy over the years.
Herman was an active member of Bartlett United Methodist Church for more than 40 years. He graduated from Christian Brothers University in 1974 and had a successful career as a Professional Engineer, before his first retirement to serve as a math teacher at Memphis Business Academy in Frayser. In his second retirement, he enjoyed travelling the world and playing pickleball with his wife and many friends. He was a devoted husband, father and "Boomer" to Will and will be greatly missed by all his friends and family. Perhaps he will be best remembered as a man of great faith who devoted his life to loving his family and serving others through his prayers, presence, gifts and service.
Well done good and faithful servant.
