Gracie Inez Quick, age 89, of Memphis, TN, died peacefully after a prayer offered for her by her husband, Robert (“Bob”) Quick on December 20, 2020, at 5:10 pm. She was born in Grand Junction, TN on June 21, 1931. Daughter of the late Gracie Beatrice Houston Dearing and Frank Lee Dearing, she was preceded in death by her brothers Charles and Frank Dearing. She is survived by the love of her life and husband of 66 years, 7 months, and 9 days, Bob Quick and their three children, Jim (Teresa) Quick of Collierville, TN, Carol (Roy) Henderson of Germantown, TN, and Ken (Leigh Ann) Quick of Cordova, TN. Also surviving her are her ten grandchildren, Bobby Pugh, of Collierville, TN, Valerie (James) Sites of Collierville, TN, Andres Rondon of Melbourne, FL, Jonathan (Lauren) Quick of Arlington, TN, Lauren Elizabeth Quick of Cordova, TN, Jennifer (Cole) Kilgore of Thompson’s Station, TN, Richard Henderson of Germantown, TN, Kristina Henderson of Memphis, TN, Matthew Quick of Collierville, TN and Rachel Quick, of Collierville, TN, as well as three great-grandchildren, Dexter, David, and James.
She graduated from Collierville High School and later became a devoted wife and mother. Her world revolved around her husband and children. Family meant everything to her and her mission was to ensure her three children were brought up in church and would come to know and accept our Lord, Jesus Christ. She was an outstanding mother and taught by example how to treat others with respect and kindness until the day she died.
Visitation will be at 10:00 am at Colonial Baptist Church in Memphis, TN, followed by a service at 11:00 am. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm at the Grand Junction Cemetery in Grand Junction, TN. The burial service is open to those who wish to attend.
