Jerry was the first born of Anthony and Veronica Ruden on October 22, 1927 in Mitchell, SD. After graduating from high school, he joined the Merchant Marines and served in WWII. He was later drafted into the Army for the Korean War. Jerry attended South Dakota State University after his discharge and earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He worked at several jobs in Milwaukee, WI where he met and married Angie Sedlar. In 1970, Jerry was given an opportunity to manage a Ford Truck Franchise in Memphis, TN. He retired in 1994 and lived in Memphis until his death.
Jerry dearly loved his family, those who worked for him, and his customers. It was his wish to thank these people for everything they did for him during his life.
Jerry leaves behind his loving wife of 60 years, Angeline Sedlar Ruden, his 2 children, Joe (Barbara) Ruden and Mary (Mike)McCullough, 9 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and 2 sisters.
He is proceeded in death by his parents Veronica and Anthony Ruden and by his sister and brother.
