Gerald Jr. received his childhood education in the Tupelo Public School System, and grew up attending Faith Church under the leadership of his father Bishop Gerald Patterson Sr. While attending Faith Church, he served on the intercessory team, leadership team, in the audio department, he also headed Faith Cafe, and he made Faith Church the Entrepreneurial hub of the church. He also participated in Faith Church Outreach Ministries working with the youth and Free Hugs.
In 1994,Gerald Jr. gave his life back to Christ and preached his first trial sermon.
In 1997, Gerald Jr. met his first Best Friend Andrew Capps, in which they formed a lifelong unbreakable bond. Afterwards, he began more brotherhoods with Andrew Hurst,Brandon Haley, Ishmael Husein, Devett Rosendoll, and Ricky Singh. He also formed a lifelong friendship with Cherylynn Mitchell.
In 2005, Gerald Jr. began working at his first job at Dominos under the leadership of Stephen Holland and Jason Shiflett. He continued on to become General Manager at the age of 18.
In 2007, Gerald Jr. received his High school Diploma from Tupelo High School in Tupelo, MS.
In 2016, Gerald Jr. started his first business The Busted Cell Repair and Services and his corporation GP Enterprises, LLC. He continued to franchise out by owning three Cellairis stores across Northeast Mississippi.
In 2019, Gerald Jr. relocated to Memphis, TN where he met lifelong friends; doing what he loved, riding motorcycles.
In 2020, Gerald Jr. began his venture into Real Estate and formed his second corporation, MAF Homes, LLC. During this time, he met many business partners that blossomed into lifelong friendships.
Gerald Patterson Jr. was Promoted to Glory on January 12, 2023 at Regional One Medical Center in Memphis, TN with his family and friends by his side.
Gerald Patterson Jr. was a loving Son, Brother, Uncle, Cousin, and Friend.
He leaves to cherish his memories and carry on his legacy: his father, Gerald Patterson, Sr.; his three siblings, Jerrell Patterson (Erica), Donald Patterson (Tanisha), and Geralyn "Ashley" Patterson Amos (Marquis). Eight nieces and nephews; Tania, Tyler, Jaylen, Taneia, Samiyah, Aiden, John, and Artemis. Great Grandmother Bernice Spurgeon, and Gran Gran Mary Patterson,
Gerald Jr. is also survived by his Aunts and Uncles, Donald Peterson (Tonya), Myron Peterson, Ebony Jones, and Selina Spears (Gary) and a host of Great Aunts, Great Uncles, Cousins, and friends.
He is proceeded in death by his mother Tinnona L. Patterson, Grandfather John E. Patterson, and Granny Barbara A. Peterson.
A memorial service will be held Saturday January 21, 2023 at Pursuit of God Church, 3759 N Watkins, Memphis, TN 38127 at 11 a.m. The family will receive friends beginning at 10 a.m.
