George Albert Dodson, 69, of Bartlett, passed away on Friday, December 9, 2016 at his home. He was a U.S. Army veteran, member of the Sports Car Club of America and was an avid racing fan. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mabel Armstrong Dodson. George is survived by his wife, Shelia L. Dodson; two sons, David A. (Amanda) Dodson of Bartlett and Paul A. Dodson of Memphis; sister, Beverly O’Connor (Fred) of Huntsville, AL; five grandchildren, Ashton, Sophia, Penelope, Katie and Sam; and a niece and nephew, Michael and Kelly O’Connor. A memorial gathering will be at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Ave from 5-8 p.m., Friday evening, December 16.
