Frances Therese Berry Kollatz

Frances Therese Berry Kollatz, 74, of Oakland, TN passed away on April 17, 2016. Therese was a member of St. Phillip’s Catholic Church and had a deep devotion to Mary, the Rosary, and the Saints. She was not only a loving mother but also a devoted friend to her four children. Therese also treasured Harry, her dear spouse of fifty-four years. Her quiet determination and ability to find sunlight behind every cloud made her a wonderful lady, who truly walked each day in faith.

Therese is preceded in death by her parents Richard Coy and Frances Hargon Berry of Canton, MS, her brothers Mike Berry, Tony Berry, Hugh Berry, Kevin Berry, and Charles Berry, her sons Tony and Steve Kollatz, and her grandson Johnathan Parks. She is survived by her spouse Harry, her son Mike Kollatz, her daughter Beth Kollatz Smith, her son-in-law Cary Smith, and six other grandchildren: Danielle Kollatz, Stephanie Kollatz, Stephen Kollatz, Christopher Fleetwood, Mikey Kollatz, Savannah Smith and Kati Smith. Aiden, Addyson, and Zane Reed are her great-grandchildren. All the immediate family live in the greater Memphis area. Her surviving siblings are Alice Chapuis, Richard Berry, Pat Berry, Dolly Tucker, Lloyd Berry, and Pete Berry.

A celebration service will be held on Friday, April 22, at 10 am at Family Funeral Care in Memphis TN. We wish that Therese be kept in prayer and remembered for the warmth her laughter and spirit brought into each of our lives. Rest in Peace, Nanny.
