Floyd Alexander, Sr., 83, of Memphis, passed away October 19, 2012. He is survived by his wife, Ruby M. Alexander, and children, Ernestine Hodges, Earline Perkins, Diana Smith, Oscar Harris, Margaret Robinson, Phyllis Diane Bonner, Larry Alexander, Floyd Alexander, Jr., and Thelma Alexander-Dixon; his brother, Samuel Owens, Jr., and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Peggy Burkins. Services will be 12 p.m., Saturday, October 27, at New Philadelphia Missionary Baptist Church, with burial to follow in Memphis Memory Gardens.
