Eva Maria Heringer Edwards, 84, was born May 20, 1931 in Lüdenscheid, Germany and passed away February 1, 2016 at Methodist Healthcare Hospice Residence, Memphis. Mrs. Edwards was a devout Catholic and was proud of her German heritage - if you visited her over the years at Christmas time you no doubt tried her German cookies that she enjoyed making every year.
She is survived by her four sons, Les Jr. (Emily Trenholm) of Memphis; Leo of Collierville; Tom (Teresa) of North Dakota; and Bert (Debbie) of North Carolina; two sisters, Inge Tennestadt and Ursel von der Forst (Henning) of Germany; five grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Les Edwards, Sr.; her parents Leo and Maria Heringer; and one brother, Leo Heringer.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 4, 2016 from 6-8pm at Memphis Funeral Home. The family requests that any memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
