I have so many fun wonderful memories!  I was with you when you started dating over 24 years ago.  I was with you when y’all were house hunting and found the house in Cordova.  Eric would drop me off at the doctor’s office on his way to work.  I had a colonoscopy and Christy picked me up!  You both so willing to help and do for others.   You both were such great host and hostesses when I visited wanting everyone to have such a good time and we did.  Always such awesome food!  That was so important when you entertained.  I can see Eric now standing there making homemade pizza, shucking oysters, and grilling.  Christy and family, y’all are in my thoughts and prayers! Love you sweet friend!  Call me if you need me to come down or just to talk!!!! Hugs, ❤️ 🙏 

Eric-Who knew when we met over 33 years ago that you would become such a close friend and special part of our lives? We will miss you so much and are so thankful for all the happy and fun memories. 

My Dear friend Mr Easy Eric Counce, Im sorry I didn't take you up on your offer to come fishing, you always offered up your home and amenities to me as I was your family. I procrastinated while allowing life to keep me too busy and I missed the opportunity to see you and here your quick witted responses and jokes. I will miss you my friend and until I see you again Mr Easy Eric Counce rest easy my BRITHER I LOVE YOU

Our family lived 2 doors down from the Counce’s and my brothers John & Mark Meihofer hung out with Eric, Mike & Jeff Mech.  They became good friends.  Years passed by and they all grew up... Last year my brother John passed away and Eric was there to say his condolences.  I had not seen Eric since he was in grade school.  He gave me a big hug.  My brother left 4 children behind and Eric reached out to them on Facebook.  He had such a big heart!  We are devastated by how young these two friends have been taken away from us.  You are in our thoughts and prayers!

I remember the first time I met you at The Sidecar. You came across as if we had known each other forever. You invited me to hang out with the group at your house parties. I am glad I got to see you this summer at the river, it had been a while since I'd seen you but you wouldn't have known it. You were a good man Eric. I'll miss your humor man. Rest in Peace.

We met Eric and Christy through Phillip and Cheri Hansen at a cove party many years ago. Over the course of the years our circle of friends grew. We have all shared some of the best times of our lives with them as Christy was always doing the entertaining while Eric entertained us. We have shared countless gatherings, parties and trips with them. These memories of Eric are ones we will cherish forever. Eric will be greatly missed by all of us who knew and loved him. 

Where do I begin?  The day we moved in next door to Eric and Christy we had no idea what a huge roll Big E would play in our lives. For 18 years we drank coffee with Eric every morning. I could go on forever with the countless practical jokes and good times we had with Eric. He was not only a best friend he was family. I can never think of a moment that he wasn’t there if anyone in my family needed help. He was the best jokester, advisor, confidant and friend anyone could ever had. He never had an unkind word to say about anyone and always saw the bright side of everything. We will miss you immensely. Fly high Big E!

I grew up in Memphis next door to the Counce family.  I have very fond memories of that time and thanks to Facebook was able to reconnect with both Mike and Eric.  What a sense of humor he had! So glad he and his wife just had this time with Mike.  Prayers to all. 🙏

Eric was the best!  The nicest, friendliest, funniest and all around great person!   He was always the life of the party.  I am still in shock, you will be greatly missed by so many.   RIP Eric love u forever   Prayers to everyone especially his family, so many are  feeling this loss 

We have lost a giant heart, soul and spirit today. Eric , always the one with the funny edgy joke,  sarcastic comeback and lighthearted words. He will be greatly missed by everyone who was blessed to have him in their life.  He loved his family and friends BIG!
