Elvis E. Thomas

Elvis E. Thomas, 90 went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, March 22, 2014. His parents, Porter & Lonnie Thomas preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife Melba; two children, Ronnie (Martha Jane) of Nashville and Leann Luther of Lakeland, TN; four grandchildren, Phil, Janie, Lindsey, & Laura; and two great-grandchildren, Connor & Audrey. This May, they would celebrate their 72nd wedding anniversary. Elvis served three years in World War II, 18 months of that spent in the Pacific. He was the manager of two Belk department stores over the years, one in McMinnville, TN and one in Lawrenceburg, TN. At the time of retirement he was working for Enterprise Rent A Car. Rev. Chris Perry will be leading a memorial service for family and friends at Family Funeral Care at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 26, with visitation to begin at 10:30 a.m.. The burial will be at West Tennessee Veteran Cemetery for family only. The family requests that any memorials be sent to Union Mission or the charity of your choice.
