Elizabeth was a strong and independent woman as well as a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. Her sons fondly recall her working as a school crossing guard and special education teacher's aid during their childhood. She then went on to express her artistic talent working as a floral designer for many years. She was a communicant at St. Ann Catholic Church.
Elizabeth is survived by three sons, Don Crossnine(Melandia) of Bartlett, TN, Michael Crossnine(Debi) of Bartlett, TN and Patrick Crossnine(Lisa) of Eads, TN; Five grandchildren: Steven Crossnine(Amy), Kimberly Thoma(Michael), Dena Hathaway(Troy), Paul Crossnine(Brittany) and Richard Crossnine(Christina); Eight great grandchildren: Ethan and Lindsey Crossnine, Henry Thoma, Lindi Hathaway, Taylor and Zachary Crossnine, Blakely and Kyler Crossnine and a host of nieces and nephews.
Elizabeth is preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Volney Harris; son, Glenn Crossnine; sister, Daphne Dambro and brothers, Lowell and Doyle Harris.
The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to the staff and nurses at Crossroads Hospice Care and St. Francis Hospital, Bartlett, TN for their compassionate care and support.
Visitation will be from 9:30 – 11:00am on Wednesday, April 5th at St. Ann Catholic Church, 6529 Stage Rd, Bartlett, TN with a funeral mass to follow at 11:00am. Burial will be held immediately afterwards at Memorial Park Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave., Memphis, TN.
