Edward Bernard Tucker

Eddie Tucker, 78, passed away Tuesday, April 9th, 2025. Eddie was an award-winning graphic designer and artist. His work includes Memphis in May BBQ Festival t-shirts, posters for the W.C. Handy Blues Awards, Memphis Music and Heritage Festival, and the 1985 Memphis in Memphis Art Exhibit. Also, he designed many well-known logos like the National Civil Rights Museum, Mid-South Food Bank, Boscos, and the Memphis Restaurant Association. He was formerly Creative Director at Ward Archer and Associates, later Archer Malmo, but worked primarily under his own company, Eddie Tucker Design. A lifelong Memphian, he was a graduate of Central High School, and attended Memphis State University. He also taught graphic design at Memphis College of Art. One of the proudest moments of his life was the joint art show Like father, like daughter: Eddie and Catherine Tucker. He is survived by his wife, Marcia Wells, and daughter, Catherine.

A gathering of family and friends for Edward will be held Wednesday, April 16, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Ave, Memphis, TN 38122.
