Ed Brindza passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, Memphis, TN, at 85. He was born on Monday, July 18, 1938, in Cleveland, OH, to Julia Cecilia Palinchik Brindza and Andrew Michael Brindza. He was raised in Lakewood, OH, and has been a resident of Germantown, TN since 1979. He served in the US Air Force in the Intelligence division during the Cold War when stationed in Germany and Turkey.
He was the owner and founder of Memphis, TN-based All-Star Products, Inc and worked in the electric and mechanical motor industry for over 55 years. He was also the author of the Inn & Travel Guest Houses & Inns of America guides and founder of The Bed and Breakfast Collection, an innovative discount network connecting inn owners directly to manufacturers.
He also had a passion for automobiles, barbecuing, and travel. He made contest-worthy ribs and pork shoulder whenever he was able to pull himself away from his many business & investment endeavors.
Ed is survived by his sister, Rosemary Hudak. Sister-in-law, Marion Brindza. Daughters Katherine Schrader and Susan Sanders. Daughter-in-Law Marci Brindza. Son Marc Brindza. Son-in law Lawrence Schrader. Grandsons Davis Childers and Griffin Childers. Granddaughter-in-law Callie Childers. Great granddaughter Reese Rosalie Childers. Nieces Karen Di Gregorio, Diane Brindza, Denise Ray and Julie Ann Montanez. Nephews David Hudak, Michael Hudak and Robert Brindza, Jr.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Rosalie Brindza. Parents Julia Cecilia Brindza and Andrew Mike Brindza. Brother Robert Brindza. Brother-in-law Daniel Hudak. Niece Debbie Hudak.
A memorial service will be held in his honor on Friday, March 29, 2024, from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Ave, Memphis, TN 38119
