Edith Priscilla Fields was born on February 9, 1936 at 879 Pope Street, in Memphis, Tn. She departed this Earth and went to be with our Heavenly Father on October 13, 2023 at home, after a long illness.
Edith was a factory line worker for 25 years and retired from Wonder Bread Bakery in 1988.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Carl B. Davis, her parents, Lonie Elbert Fields and Tempie Alma Sanders Fields. Also preceded in death by her eight brothers and four sisters and a great grand-daughter, Megan Downs and a stepson Randy Davis.
She leaves five daughters, Brenda Kay Carlisle (Mike-deceased)of GA, Debra (Debbie) Lynn McLain (Mike) of WV, Terrie Lee LeBorgne, Tina Rochelle Marcy (Clay) and Lisa Michelle Steele (Reggie Bowlin), all of TN. She loved her daughters fiercely and was very proud of them all. She also leaves behind two stepsons Leon (Jay) Joseph LeBorgne (Robin) of NC, Micheal Edward LeBorgne of NV and a stepdaughter Shannon Lois Monzingo of AZ.
In her passing she also leaves ten grandchildren, twenty four great grandchildren and five great, great grandchildren. Along with many beloved nieces and nephews, other family and many friends. Edith (Granny) was loved by all that knew her and will be remembered and missed always.
The family will provide a light fare of refreshments during the visiting hours Wednesday evening at the funeral home for all who attend.
