Dorothy Dunaway Spencer, 74 passed away on January 11, 2014 in Olive Branch, MS. She was a member of Germantown Baptist Church; an avid flower gardener, loved reading and traveling with her husband of 54 years.
She is predeceased by her parents, Alvie and Ella Pearson Dunaway; two sons, Mark Spencer and an infant son; a grandson Dalton Burnett; by three sisters, Catherine Price, Erlene Greer, and Doris Alford; three brothers, Josh Dunaway, Watts Dunaway, and Wilmer Dunaway.
She is survived by her husband Clarence Spencer; daughter Traci (Jay) Burnett; her brother Junior (Shirley) Dunaway; sister-in-law Sue Spencer Corban.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 14 at Memphis Funeral Home Poplar Chapel beginning at 6 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted at 7 p.m. in the chapel. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, January 15 at Terry’s Creek Cemetery, 1147 Church Road, Magnolia, MS at 1 p.m. with interment to follow.
