Dorothy Evelyn Holladay

Dorothy Evelyn Holladay 78, Of Olive Branch, MS, retired from Smith-Nephew (Richards) passed away on September 12, 2013. Mrs. Holladay was born on November 27, 1934, in Quincy, MS. She was a graduate of Greenwood Springs High School, where she met the love of her life John Holladay, they married on November 4, 1953. She was preceded in death by her parents Willie Greely and Burma Mize, brother Willie Gayle Mize, husband John Owens Holladay, son Greely Dale Holladay and her daughter Ann Lavon Reyes. She is survived by her son Larry Owens Holladay (Victoria), a sister Miriam Lavon McCaine, grandchildren Jason Holladay and fiancé Ashley Carver, Jonathan Holladay and fiancé Crystal, Melinda Holladay and fiancé Wesley Smith, and Madison Threadgill. She also leaves her great grandchildren Tanner Holladay and his mom Jerri Butler, Hatleigh Holladay and her mother Amanda Goss, and Layla Holladay . In lieu of flowers donations may be given in honor of Dorothy Evelyn Holladay to Cherry Road Baptist Church where she was a member. (Cherry Road Baptist Church 1421 Cherry Rd Memphis, TN 38117) The family will receive friends from 4-7pm, on Sunday, September 15, 2013, at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Ave, with funeral services to be held at noon on Monday, September 16, 2013, also at the funeral home. Interment will take place at West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery 4000 Forest Hill Irene Rd Memphis, TN 38125.
