Doris Whitaker, 97, of Germantown, passed away February 9, 2014. Doris was a member of Ridgeway Baptist Church and the Golden Ages. She is survived by her daughter, Pam Meyer (Jim); grandchildren, Mark Meyer (Dhe), Lisa Armstrong and two great-grandchildren, Isabella and Sophia Meyer. Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse L. Whitaker. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 12 from 1 p.m. until service at 2 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home on Poplar Ave. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
