David Wayne Smith

David Wayne Smith, 65, passed away in his home after battling small cell cancer, on Friday, February 19, 2021 in Memphis, TN. He was born April 12, 1955 to David Farrington Smith and Josephine Prudence Booker Smith, who proceeded him in death.

David saw everyone as a friend and loved to carry on long conversations. He always put his family first and made sure to be present for all their life events.

David is survived by his wife, Stacy Lee Zeltner Smith of Memphis, TN and five children and six grandchildren and two sisters. His two daughters, Rachel Rogers (Stephen Rogers) of Bartlett, TN, Leslie Biffle (Cody Biffle) of Memphis, TN, and three sons, Joseph Smith (Jessica) of Mountain View, AR, and Daniel Smith (Angie) of Memphis, TN, David Smith Jr. of Murfreesboro, TN. Kimberly Thompson (granddaughter (Jake Bostain)) of Horn Lake, MS, Hunter Thompson and Evan Rogers (grandsons) of Bartlett, TN, Ian Smith and Kai Smith (grandsons) of Mountain View, AR, and Avaleigh Smith (granddaughter) of Memphis, TN. Sisters Cheryl Benedict (Jere Benedict) of Indianapolis, IN, and Pat Caskey (Mark Caskey) of Memphis, TN

He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

There will be a one hour viewing for family on Friday, February 26, 2021 from 2pm until 3pm. Covid guidelines require everyone to wear a mask during visit.
