He was born in the Montezuma Community of Chester County, TN on April 20, 1945, son of Celeste Harville Moore and the late Joe Max Moore. He grew up and attended schools in Chester County.
David was the owner/operator of David Moore, Inc., an excavating and demolition company he began in 1972.
He married Suzette Chambers on February 29, 1996 and they made their home in Germantown, TN.
David was a member of Germantown Baptist Church. He loved old cars and motorcycles and going to heavy equipment auctions.
David is survived by his wife, Suzette Moore; his mother Celeste Moore of Somerville; daughters Sophia Lois (John) Antwine of Henderson and Jennifer (Josh) Kuehn of Memphis; four grandchildren Skylar, Brennen, Braden and Gabriella Kuehn; sister Judy (Danny) Benard of Henderson; former wife Jackie Moore of Southaven, MS; niece Amber (Wayne) Greene of Henderson; two nephews Danny (Brandy) Benard of Arlington, TN and Michael (Misty) Benard of Toone, TN; two great nieces Autumn and Abbie Greene; former son-in-law Terry White and dear friend Robert Estes both Southaven.
There will be visitation Friday, February 18th from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Memphis Funeral Home on Poplar Avenue. Visitation will again be on Saturday, February 19th from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and from noon until funeral services begin at 2:00 PM Sunday, February 20th all at Shackelford Funeral Directors - Crook Avenue, Henderson, TN with Spence Ray officiating. Burial will follow in Montezuma Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to your favorite animal shelter or the American Cancer Society.
