Born in Memphis, Tennessee on May 30, 1963, David is the son of Hugh W. and Brenda W. Gray. David graduated from Frayser Baptist School at the age of 16. He attended many trade schools throughout his career and life.
Tim was a believer in Christ. He was installed into DeMolay by President Gerald Ford as a young man.
Tim had a heart of gold. He was willing to help anyone with anything. He was a single dad and did not want for any special treatment. Tim was a long haul driver with over a million miles accident free! He also worked as a mechanic, parts department, and helped set up Auto Zone parts stores across many states.
He loved to make to his mom and called her "Murphy" because of her rules and regulations. With his dad they would hunt, fish, work together and wrestle. Hen Hugh would get the best of him he would say "now that done it". He was and always will be a great son that everyone could be proud of.
Preceding Tim in death were his paternal grandparents, K.A. and Dorothy Gray, maternal grandparents Elmore and Inez Wilbanks, and a first cousin Deborah Clifton.
Tim is deeply loved and will be missed by his mom and dad, sister Angela and children Wesley Marshburn and Courtney Poling. Tim also had five grandchildren Aryanna, Emma, Abigail, Noah and Benaiah.
A visitation for David will be held Monday, May 6, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Broadway Baptist Church, 7400 Getwell Rd, Southaven, MS 38672, followed by a funeral service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
