David Lawrence Barkley, Jr., age 35, of Arlington, TN passed away on November 19, 2020. David was born in Vallejo, CA and moved to Memphis, TN in 2010 after meeting the love of his life, his wife Sandra Barkley. Together, they supported each other as their attention focused on building a future and family. David proudly embraced his role as stepfather of Sandra’s children, Hayley and Hayden Ledbetter, as if they were his own flesh and blood. In 2013, David and Sandra fgrew their family with the arrival of their daughter Harper Marion Barkley, who made their family complete. Nothing in the world meant more to David than his wife and three children, and he was loved and adored equally in return.
David fulfilled his dreams to become a general contractor and own his own business, ResGen Roofing, employing family and friends, which through hard work and passion grew to become a national company. In addition to his wife and kids, he is survived by his parents, Deborah and David Barkley, Sr. of Bartlett, TN, his sister Jasmine Barkley of Palo Cedro, CA, his maternal grandmother, Mary Wagner of Palo Cedro, CA, his paternal grandfather, Al Barrot of Vallejo, CA, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. David’s memorial service will be held Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at 2 p.m. at The Refuge Church with a private burial to follow.
