Dale Pearson Sims

Dale was born September 11, 1923 in Rome, Mississippi. She loved traveling, swimming, and spending time with the Military Wives Club. She thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her many children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Always feisty and vivacious, Dale did not let her age or even a walker stop her from enjoying life to the fullest. She even participated in the occasional soccer games with her great grandchildren. We all enjoyed conversations with Dale and the stories and memories she told. The grandchildren enjoyed growing up at Dale’s house with all of her many pets and collecting pecans from her Pecan tree. Her infectious laughter and stories always brightened up the room.

She is survived by her brother, Jesse Pearson, her children, James Sims, Jr., Tanya Warner, Richard Sims (Cecilia Sims), Toni Zanone (Dr. Michael Zanone), Michelle Sims, and several grandchildren and great grandchildren, all of whom brought great joy to her later years.

The Visitation will be held at the Memphis Funeral Home starting at 9:00 am on Saturday October 3, 2015, followed immediately by the Service at 10:00 am. Dale will be buried beside her late husband James Sims and late son Larry Lawson Sims in Tyronza Cemetery in Arkansas at 3:00 pm on Saturday, October 3, 2015.
