He is preceded in death by his parents, Houston W. Dorris and Florence Amanda Pitt Dorris and one sister, JoHanna Rast.
He is survived by his two sons, Clifford Wayne (Nikki) Dorris Jr. and Raymond Alan Dorris, two grandchildren, Shannon Dorris and Erin Dorris ; one sister, Martha Hill.
The family will receive friends, Tuesday, January 6, 2015 from 5-7 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home Poplar Chapel, funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN 38119. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to the American Diabetes Association, 5583 Murray Avenue, Memphis, TN 38119.
