Charles L. Duff

CHARLES LAFAYETTE DUFF, 93, passed away on March 9, 2013. He was born in Brinkley, AR. He graduated from Subiaco Academy, which made a lasting impressing on his life. He graduated from the University of Arkansas and the University of Missouri. he loved the soil and working with farmers throughout the Mid-South. he was one of the pioneers in the Memphis area for herbicide treatment of lawns. He was a member of the United States Army, Memphians for America and East Memphis Kiwanis Club and was a charter member of St. Louis Catholic Church. he is survived by his wife of 64 years, Gerry and sons Lee Duff (Brenda) of Southaven, MS and John Duff (Darlene) of Bartlett, TN and daughter, Sue Holt of Memphis. He was a loving grandfather to four grandchildren, Jason Duff (Jennifer) of White House, TN, Regina Duff of Lebanon, TN, Michael Holt of Memphis and Brandon (Jessica) of Little Rock, AR. he was great-grandfather to Joshua Jeffries, Hannah Duff, Hayden Duff, Mary Duff and a little angel on the way. He is also survived by niece, Julia Chase of Colchester, VT. Visitation and rosary will be Tuesday, March 12, 6-8 p.m. at Family Funeral Care, 4923 Summer Avenue. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday morning at 10 a.m. at St. Louis Catholic Church with burial following in All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Subiaco Academy, 405 N. Subiaco Ave., Subiaco, AR 72865 or Msgr. Paul Clunan Endowment Fund, St. Louis Catholic Church, 203 S. White Station Road, Memphis, TN 38117.
