Cecil Roland Tomlinson

Cecil Roland Tomlinson, 89, of Memphis, Tennessee died on July 27, 2014. Mr. Tomlinson retired from the Memphis Press Scimitar as Circulation Director & Orgill Bros. Hardware as the Merchandise Engineer. He was a member of Germantown Church of Christ, WWII Navy veteran serving in the Admiralty Islands; 1943 graduate of Humes High School and received his accounting Degree from the L.H. Miller Hawkins Business School. His family will receive guests on Saturday from 9:30AM until funeral services begin at 11:00 AM all at White Station Church of Christ, 1106 Colonial Road, Memphis, TN. After burial with Naval Honors, his family will receive guests for lunch at the church. Mr. Tomlinson is survived by his wife Jane Hayes Tomlinson with whom he shared a 67 year love story; his sons Michael Eugene (Ines) Tomlinson of Tampa, FL, and Cecil (Caroline) Tomlinson of Memphis; sisters Dorothy Tomlinson of Cordova, TN and Glyn (Earl) Sain of Collierville, TN; 2 granddaughters and 4 grandsons.
