Cassandra "Faye" Gaither was born on February 17, 1963, in Memphis, Tennessee. She was the youngest child of Josh and Olivia Gaither. She departed this life on Friday, December 15, 2023, at 5:12 p.m. at Methodist Hospital.
Faye, as she was affectionately known as, confessed a hope in Christ at the tender age of 10 at First Baptist Church-Lauderdale, under the pastorate of the late Rev. Charles L. Dinkins. She was very active in church until her health began to fail her.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Olivia H. Gaither and her father, Josh Gaither, Sr.
She leaves to cherish her memories, one sister, Barbara Gaither, three brothers, Johnny Gaither, Michael Gaither (Brenda) and Josh Gaither, Jr. (Paulette) of Atlanta, GA., four nieces, Tameka, Ashley, Kellee and Amber, four nephews, Deddrick, Cary, Terrance, and Michael, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and other extended family. She also leaves her god sister, Fredia T. Moore, who has been an absolute blessing to her.
