Daughter to James & Ruby Anderson, she was born in Hillsdale, LA on September 28th, 1942. She was an incredibly strong, independent woman and a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her. When she retired from Kraft Foods, she spent her time volunteering at Kings Sons and Daughters Nursing Home and Bellevue Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her family, a master seamstress and took after her mother cooking up some of the finest southern meals one could have. Our mother was very loved by all that knew her and will be missed immensely.
She is survived by her 3 sons: Scott Chambers, Keith Chambers, Gene Chambers, 4 grandchildren: Corey Chambers, Dakota Chambers, Nathan Chambers, Addison Chambers and 2 great grandchildren: Luna Chambers and Yo Chambers. In addition, Carolyn left behind 4 loving sisters: Sandra West, Pat Anderson, Kathy McKinnie and Barbara Huff.
Visitation will be held in her honor on Friday, April 26, 2024 at Bellevue Baptist Church, 2000 Appling Rd, Cordova, TN. 38016 from 10:00 am -11:00 pm and Memorial Services at 11:00 am. Immediately following the service, she will be laid to rest at Memphis Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd, Bartlett, TN. 38133.
