C. L. Moore

C.L. Moore was born on October 6, 1945, in Germantown, TN, to the late John Moore and the late Glinnie Moore.

C.L. accepted Christ at an early age at New Wright’s Chapel Baptist Church in Collierville, TN, under the leadership of Rev. Garner B Jones.

C.L. was a pillar in the church serving in the Mass Choir, Male Chorus, Deacon Board, and Trustee Board.

He had an impeccable work ethic. He worked as a brick mason, retired in 2002 from Paulo, Inc, as a heat treater, and later served as the maintenance engineer at Town Village Audubon Park.

He was preceded in death by his three brothers, Alfred, John, and Leroy, two sisters, Ruthie and Clara, and one grandson, Cameron.

C.L. leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife of 42 years, Annie, sons-Carlos Moore of Chicago, IL and Marvin Selmon of Memphis, TN, one daughter-India Watson (Barrett) of Cordova, TN, one sister-Lavern Bishop (Laxelle) of Flower Mound, TX, six brothers-in-law, eight sisters-in-law, six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, especially Janet (Rylan) Acey, and friends.
