May 7, 1983 - December 13, 2017
Bubba is preceded in death by his father, Mark Wade; paternal grandfather, James “Snookie” Wade; great-grandparents Rev. William F. and Gladys Heinz Sr.; and Marvin and Gena Goodman.
Bubba is survived by his mother Donna; sister Jennifer (and Charlie Matthews); brother Jonathan; nieces Ellie and Amelia; and nephews Matt and Chipper. He also leaves his maternal grandparents, W. Fred and Frances Heinz Jr.; his paternal grandparents, Larry and Carolyn Little; and paternal great-grandparents Charles and Murrial McCommon. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins too numerous to count.
From the moment he was born, Bubba showcased his fighting spirit and stubbornness to overcome any obstacle that was thrown at him. Bubba could often be found watching his “Cubbies” (Chicago Cubs) and drinking Diet Coke. When taking a break from watching baseball, Bubba loved to listen to (and sing) music of all sorts, with the Hoppers, Garth Brooks, and Jason Crabb being some of his favorites. Bubba had a passion for Jesus and was always willing to share his story with those he encountered. He was known as the “Mouth of South” to his family, as he always had a story to tell and a smile to give. All Bubba’s nieces, nephews, and cousins learned to walk on Bubba’s wheel chair with his encouragement. Bubba was a friend to many and an inspiration to all. He helped all of his family to view each day as an opportunity to spread joy and happiness and to never underestimate the power of a smile. He was a blessing to all and will truly be missed.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in Bubba’s memory.
