Bryan "Joe" Manger, 60, lost his battle with cancer on May 10, 2012. Bryan was born at the Lakehurst Naval Air Station New Jersey. He graduated from Bartlett High School and earned his undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Tennessee at Martin. He retired from the U.S. Justice Dpartment Bureau of Prisons. Bryan never met a stranger. He was an avid horseman who loved his dogs and the outdoors. Bryan was most at home at his retirement home by Lake Enid. He loved his family and was so proud to be a grandfather. Bryan is survived by his wife, Martha, his mother, Ruth Manger, his son, Bryan Joseph (Kim) with two grandchildren, his siblings, Jinny Manger Hill (Jerry), John Manger (Karen), April Manger, Kathy Manger De Nigris (Joe), and Barbara Manger Welch (Lee), and six nephews and one niece. He will always be loved and greatly missed by all. Visitation will be Monday, May 14, 5-7 p.m. with services beginning at 7 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 5599 Poplar Ave. Services will be Tuesday, May 15, 1 p.m. at Dyersburg Funeral Home, Ridgely Chapel, with visitation beginning at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Memphis and Shelby County Humane Society.
