Bryan Greene

Bryan Lafelt Greene, 48, surrendered peacefully to his year long battle with cancer Friday, May 6, 2011. Bryan was a dedicated Lieutenant with the Memphis Fire Department for over 21 years, proudly serving the citizens of his beloved hometown. He was honored to serve on the Color Guard and the High Rise team with his brother fire fighters. The family will receive friends at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens – Poplar Chapel on Tuesday, May 10, 2011 from 5 – 8 with a 7 p.m. Rosary. A funeral mass will be held at Holy Rosary Catholic Church Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow with his final resting place at Memphis Memory Gardens. Following interment, the family invites family and friends for a life celebration fellowship at Holy Rosary Church. Bryan is survived by his wife of 22 years, Terri Greene; his children, Bobby, Bryan, Somer, and Skylar; two grandchildren, Corwin and Maddex; his parents, Gwendolyn Greene and James L. Harbert; his siblings Herbert, Dwayne, Michael, Christopher, Gregory, Cheryl, and Madeline. He was preceded in death by his father, Herbert S. Greene Sr. The family requests that memorials be sent to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
