A lifelong Memphian, Bonnie was born on August 1, 1942, one of three children. She graduated from Southside High School and became a LPN and worked in the labor and delivery unit for Methodist Central Hospital.
In 1960 she met Vernon Tranum and they married August 27 of that same year. Together they traveled and went camping, she loved to water ski, knitting, planting flowers in her gardens, word puzzles and loved the Lord and was a lifelong Seventh Day Adventist. Her favorite past time was spending time with her family.
Mrs. Tranum was preceded in death by her mother Hazel, and sister Dee Ann Hook
She is survived by her husband Vernon, daughter Elizabeth Dickey; sister Betty Acree; her beloved granddaughter Noelle Dickey; and nieces Lisa Benson and Coeita Gallagher.
Family and friends will gather on Saturday, April 6 beginning at nine o'clock in the morning until funeral services begin at ten o'clock all at Memphis Funeral Home at 5599 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, Tennessee 38119. Staff celebrant Jonathan Matthews will lead the service and burial with escorted procession will follow at Desoto Memorial Gardens in Southaven, Mississippi.
