Betty Jo Smith, age 93, passed away December 8, 2020. She was born May 5, 1927 in Marmaduke, Arkansas to Virgil Haneline and Hester Henley Haneline. She was a member of Elliston Baptist Church, Memphis, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her late husband, James Smith and son, Tim Smith.

She is survived by her daughter, Tracy Poppenheimer (Poppy); grandchildren, Ashley Asher (Jimmy), Brandon Poppenheimer (April), and Bill Poppenheimer (Carri); great-grandchildren, Preslee Asher, Noah Asher, and Ella Poppenheimer.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 12 from 10:00 AM until funeral services at 11:00 AM, all at Memphis Funeral Home - Poplar Chapel, Memphis, Tennessee. Graveside services will follow at 2:30 PM, in Harvey's Chapel Cemetery, Marmaduke, Arkansas.
